DIRECTOR OF RISK ANALYTICS
Job Description: NYC based financial services firm is looking for a Director of Risk Analytics Retail Bank Risk Management team with the main responsibilities of managing the following functions for the Retail Bank Secured and Unsecured products: Scoring, Financial Forecasting, Policy Execution & Control/Compliance. This position will provide thought leadership for each of these functional areas, demonstrate strong technical and leadership skills for these areas, display a strong business acumen and an ability to influence senior-level peers. This individual will be responsible for driving innovation in both analytic and non-analytic functions, providing advanced data analytics, showing a strong grasp of forecasting processes and macro-economic trends, and working very closely with senior peers in Operations, Technology, Global Risk Management, Marketing, Decision Management, Legal and Finance.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Managing staff across multiple sites

  • Partner with the business and various COE':::s to deliver on mutual objectives leading to the growth, and profitability of the business

  • Create a balanced risk management culture to meet CBNA':::s business objectives

  • Provide strategic vision and leadership to achieve business objectives

  • Direct and prioritize the activities of multiple analytic teams

  • Manage three senior-level managers and their teams. Approximately 20-25 FTE

  • Develop and mentor a group of Risk professionals, both Individual Contributors and Managers

  • Provide thought & process innovation for Policy Execution and Control/Compliance as well as the analytic teams (Scoring/Loss Forecasting)

    Qualifications:

  • 8 + yrs experience managing teams across multiple locations.

  • Master Degree preferred with specialization in analytic/quantitative discipline (math, statistics, engineering, operations research, etc)

  • 10 + Years analytical experience in the areas of risk policy

  • Strong knowledge of forecasting skills and macro-economic trends

  • Scorecard development skills

  • Previous experience as a credit analyst preferred.

  • Proven ability to work through Control and Compliance risk issues.

  • Experience working in and/or working with operational groups including Credit Operations, Collections, Recovery, Fraud and Retention.

  • Financial services industry experience required, Retail bank experience a plus. Recruiter: Jamie Bernard
